Given the lockdown, there haven’t been that much opportunity to use beauty products or to rave about favourites these days. I let my hair grew out during the 3 months before the reopening began being announced and I can’t even tell you how relieved I was when I managed to book an appointment at Civello for a trim. When I’d run my hands through my hair, I’d been dismayed to see how frayed the ends were and embarassingly, how frizzy and unhealthy my hair looked even on Zoom videos!
The MoroccanOil Treatment Oil isn’t new by any means – it’s one of the brand’s best-selling product so it made me wonder why it took me so long to get to know or even discover this product in the first place.
The MoroccanOil Treatment Oil is argan oil-based treatment that claims to keep condition and nourish your hair. I tried out this divine concoction during the MoroccanOil launch event last year – I remembered just being very impressed with the scent (totally unable to stop smelling my hair, however weird that looked) and how light it felt on the hair. When I got the minis during my the holidays, I knew I should probably keep an eye on any new value sets as it made me want to try more from the brand.
Similar to the Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse, the MoroccanOil Treatment Oil gives the natural looking shine as without looking greasy. The trick is to not use too much and apply on the mid to end sections of your hair.
I find I get the best result when using the MoroccanOil Treatment Oil on damp / freshly-showered hair or just styled hair; applied when the hair is damp, it is likely to accidentally look like you over-used the product and dries with that whiff of just-left-the-salon feel about. The scent lingers during the day and well worth the investment considering the bottle lasts ages! A mini that I got as part of last year’s haul lasted a good two weeks by using about a dime-sized amount after washing my hair.
If you’re looking to add this to your routine, I highly recommend waiting for the holiday/value sets around the holidays (or Spring releases) which often comes with a mini or extras from the brand which makes it a better value buy!
