‘Tis the season of value sets and while this year has been a year or wearing minimum amount of makeup (especially lipsticks considering they’ll get all smudged up under the mask), I could never resist the lure of a good bargain and the holiday season is the best time to get your hands on value sets well worth the splurge.

Every year, The Bay, a department store here in Canada, comes out with a limited-edition lipstick trio. It felt like it was only yesterday that I wrote about the MAC Signature Stars Lipstick Kit and now we have this year’s holiday exclusive MAC Sleigh All Day Lipstick Trio ($32, available here).
The trio features 3 permanent, full-sized lipstick shades – last year’s set had limited edition packaging but it appears this year has the permanent packaging which isn’t an issue at all. The three colours included in this set are: Velvet Teddy, Chili, Lady Danger.
At a bargain price of $32 (same price as last year, how awesome is that?), this set is worth hunting down especially as the price of a single lipstick is now $24 and the limited-edition holiday mini set comes to $35 (more expensive for minis for very similar shades!)

The three shades included this set are great colours for all occasions – Lady Danger – a flattering red, and Velvet Teddy is one of the best nude colour for my medium-tone skin. Chili is the only new colour to me and is the perfect shade for the holidays even if there isn’t any holiday parties, gatherings to attend this year.
I’m sure you probably already know that you can trade in 6x full-sized MAC packaging for a lipstick / eyeshadow, depending on your MAC Lover tier/status. MAC’s lipstick range and formula are quite legendary – they’re consistently the products I’ll come back to again and again, and any value sets featuring these formula/colours are often on my radar. Needless to say, this is a kit worth splurging on and well-worth the hunt (though also available on The Bay website!)
I was able to get this set (and the rest of my MAC haul) completely free this holiday season which was an awesome added bonus (this gal needs to buy more home-related stuff so saving $100 is definitely well worth the effort. Around the holiday season is one of the only times The Bay offers discounts for cosmetic products (usually their Bay Days, discount codes, and any specials exclude cosmetics, and certain products including appliances, Nespresso brands, etc). It’s usually something along $20 off $100. I also picked up a limited edition MAC @OOPS_OHEMMA Influencer Kit to meet the minimum price and also received a gift with purchase (mini lipsticks in Mehr and Chili).
Overall, a really fantastic kit to add to your collection and a total bargain for the price! The colours are complementary for various skintones and great for gifting or keep for your own!
