The MAC Wow Factor Eye Kit ($55, available here) holiday exclusive set includes 2 Extra Dimension eyeshadows ($26 each, available here), a Technakohl liner in black ($24, available here) and In Extreme Dimension 3d black lash mascara ($31, available here).
Purchased separately, the set would have set would have set you back CAD$107 so it was a surprise to see this being part of the MAC Lover 30% Black Friday promotion (typically the brand excludes any value sets and “Sale” items during their promo).
The set is available in two colour themes, “Bronze” and “Copper” – the difference being which of the two eyeshadow colours are being included. As I needed to re-qualify / renew my status as a “Devoted” member for next year’s birthday gift, getting this kit with the added discount was a great way to get more bang for the bucks.
The holiday season is probably my favourite time to shop for value sets as they are a great bargain and often you’ll see (as in the case with this sale) discounts being stackable on the deal.
The set is priced at a reasonable $55 (maybe I’ve been out of the beauty world for a while but I thought this was a little bit more pricey even though I realize the pricing is in-line with similar brands / kits) and with the additional 30% off, it was a great deal to pass up on given the inclusion of four full-sized products.

The set I picked is the “Bronze” one as I find the colours to be more wearable; the shades included are: Havana – a dirty copper brown, and Sweet Heat – a soft peach pink which wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice but from the images I can find online, does appear similar to Urban Decay’s Sin – my all time favourite nude shade for everyday.
The other set, “Copper” which includes Frost Without U – Metallic copper and Caught You Glistening – Silver beige chrome which appear more dramatic and less wearable on a daily basis. Both mascara and eyeliner included are black and the kit includes a festive silver makeup bag.
I use these makeup bags to store cables / electronics when I’m travelling or just to organize the around the house so they’re always a nice-to-have addition especially when they’re not ridiculously over-done with the branding on the outside. I’m a sucker for most of MAC’s eyeshadow formula and a mascara/liner are probably the only two things I use on a regular basis for Zoom meetings/calls these days anyway.
The MAC Wow Factor Eye Kit is a great value for a holiday gift or for yourself (as is usually the case for me!) and well-worth checking out with the Black Friday offers around.
Now over to you! Did you buy anything during the Black Friday sale and what do you think of MAC’s holiday releases?
